A webinar presented by the IBA Power Law Committee and supported by the Section on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law (SEERIL)
Nuclear power, once sidelined in global climate agreements, is experiencing a resurgence as the world struggles to achieve energy transition benchmarks and meet rapidly growing electricity demand, driven in part by vehicle electrification and the energy-intensive requirements of data centres. Small modular reactors (SMRs) have emerged as a leading category of technologies in nuclear power’s renaissance, driven in part by SMRs’ promise of a relatively low cost of production, increased safety and enhanced speed to bring online.
Join us in this engaging webinar as we explore the international perspectives and legal frameworks shaping SMR commercialisation across diverse jurisdictions. Expert speakers from Canada, Mexico, Poland, Turkey, and Pakistan will delve into how regulations are evolving to balance stringent safety standards with the need to foster innovation.
As we are limited to 500 registrants, we request that you please only register for this event if you will be attending.
