Biography

Andres’s practice focuses on the implementation, development and financing of oil & gas and energy projects. Andres obtained his LL.M. degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2016, obtaining a Certificate in Energy and Clean Technology. Andres worked as an associate in the energy practice of MCM Abogados in Mexico from 2011 to 2020, and as an international associate in Centurion Law Group in South Africa in 2021, before joining Greenberg Traurig in 2022. He received his law degree (Licenciado en Derecho) from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico in 2012, and has other relevant graduate studies in Escuela Libre de Derecho, Mexico (2012) and Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico (2011). Andres is admitted to practice in Mexico (2012) and in the State of New York (2018). Andres has extensive experience in advising companies for the implementation of structures for the development of upstream oil & gas contracts and energy contracts in Mexico and in several countries in sub-Saharan Africa. He has provided advice to key companies in the energy sector in the financing and negotiation of security packages, as well as in the negotiation of construction agreements for different types of assets used in the development of oil & gas and energy projects.
