Description

The African private sector is overwhelmingly made up of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that often don’t seek legal services until it is too late. They too are subject to national, regional and even international corporate governance regulations, and they are often unaware of the importance of international regulations, for example the United Kingdom Bribery Act, and United States Foreign and Corrupt Practices Act, and their implications for African business, supporting boards and so on, which will be discussed in this session.
