Description

This interactive panel will explore recent trends in foreign direct investment (FDI) in Asia Pacific, with a focus on the implications for privately held companies. FDI has been growing in the Asia Pacific region in recent years, with increasing attention in the media and from politicians as a result. Particular sensitivities have developed around certain types of assets and purchasers and various jurisdictions have adopted safeguards to address these issues. This session aims to consider trends in FDI regulation, including practical measures to address these issues, ultimately to address the deal uncertainty that can result from these regulations.
