Session information

The General Counsel perspective

Thursday 15 September (1615 - 1700)

Description

A look at some of the critical challenges for the in-house legal team working in new mobility services.
The automotive and mobility service industries are facing disruptive changes arising from new technologies and services. Technological and sustainability challenges affect all operators in every sector, from manufacturers and traditional ancillary service providers to new providers of mobility and connectivity services. The way in which main market players look and operate is changing, and these changes also influence the manifold legal implications to consider in supporting the business. In this scenario, the role of in-house legal teams in “connecting the dots” amongst different legislative frameworks in many different areas and jurisdictions is becoming more and more strategic for the business success and often requires innovative approaches and a forward-looking mindset. The session will discuss several of these challenges and whether, in this disruptive landscape, some of the 'dots' are still missing or unsuitable
