Over the last 26 years Richard has worked his way across every aspect of Capital Markets, before being promoted to business leader of Colliers EMEA Capital Market’s business in 2013. As EMEA Cross-Border Capital Markets Director, Richard connects international clients who are interested in investing in the region with the best local Colliers experts or local partners based on their investment requirements. Conversely, he assists EMEA based investors expand their portfolios to other regions around the world. Through his extensive connectivity in the global real estate market, he can connect capital with local expertise, regardless of location. As real estate grows as an asset class and attracts more investment, clients need more specialist and sophisticated advice. Richard is committed to providing a broader service, diversifying the traditional offering of buying and selling property. This diversity translates to the range of skillsets and professionals across the region. During his 26 years of real estate investment experience, he has been involved in over £20 billion in transactions in the UK and Europe. An example of the spectrum of clients Richard works with, includes Sovereign Wealth Funds, global insurance companies and pension funds, global private equity funds and family offices. Clients choose to work with Richard based on the full range of advisory services he provides including a macro view on latest trends, local economies and property sectors, investor sentiment around the world and access to global and regional capital sources. Richard is part of the Colliers Global Capital Markets Platform who meet twice a year and speak monthly on global capital flows.
