Biography

Ariel Orrego-Villacorta was born in Lima, Peru. Admitted and registered into Lima’ Bar: Lima-Peru. Education: Universidad de Lima: Faculty of Law, 1982-1988; ESAN University: Finance and Corporate Law Program (Post-Degree), 2001-2002. Profession: Lawyer. He is the Founding partner and General Director of AOV Abogados, his Boutique Law firm based in Lima, Peru, providing mainly legal services to its national and international clients in labor, immigration and corporate law and related areas. He manages a team of lawyers in these fields, and specifically dealing with immigration matters being focused in corporate immigration providing legal advice, consultancy and assistance (inbound) and related aspects. Ariel is one of the Executive Officers of the International Bar Association (IBA)’ in the Immigration & Nationality Law Committee, and also member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Global Migration Section (GMS) as International Associate. He has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal as Peruvian leading immigration lawyer annually since 2012 to date, and as Thought Leader in Corporate Immigration from 2019 to 2025. In his vast professional experience for more than 30 years, he advises local and international companies, in the corporate immigration field, labor and corporate matters, helping them to achieve their business and immigration or labor objectives successfully. He also advises private companies belonging to different sectors, due to his extensive experience and highly specialized practice in corporate law. Ariel has also participated continuously as an international speaker at IBA, AILA, ERC, the Chamber of Commerce Industry and Services of Madrid, Spain, in conferences overseas, as well as in events organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (AMCHAM), the Peruvian French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Peruvian-British Chamber of Commerce, amongst others, in regards to labor and immigration matters. He is an author of articles published by IBA, AILA, ABIL, Lex Latin, ABA, as well as in national publications in his country. Languages: Spanish and English.
