Peter Wilson
Biography
Peter Wilson took up the post of UK Ambassador to Brazil in February 2021.
Previously, he served as Ambassador to the Netherlands and as Representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) until 2020.
Peter has served on missions to the UN in New York and in various sectors at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in London, covering Asia-Pacific, North and South East Asia. He has also
worked on missions in Beijing (2007 - 2010 and 1994 -1998), Islamabad (2005 to 2006) and Brussels (1999 to 2002).
He is fluent in Mandarin and French. He holds an MA in Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School, and a BA in Modern History from Oxford University.
Ambassador Peter is married to Mônica and has three children. He has an interest in photography, hiking, reading and politics.
