Biography

JUAN VELAZQUEZ SAIZ Orange S.A. Europe General Counsel: based in Paris, direct dependence of Group General Counsel, and functional reporting to Deputy CEO in charge of Orange Europe. He joined Orange Group in 2008, where he has been also Chief Compliance Officer in Orange Espagne, and General Counsel and Vice Secretary to the Board in Orange Espagne. Before joining the Orange Group, he was Secretary to the Board and General Counsel of Unidad Editorial S.A., and head of the corporate law department in Iberdrola, S.A Education Background Juan is attorney at law in Madrid and Bilbao Bar, has a Juris Doctor Courses “cum laude” at Deusto University, Law College, and has postgraduate education on Corporate Finance, International Commercial Arbitration, EU Competition Law, Corporate Governance, an Expert Certificate in Integrity, Transparency & Good Governance, and a Harvard Law School certificate on Leadership in General Counsel, he has the International Compliance Officer Certificate granted by Spanish Compliance Officer´s Institute and has taught in University as Associate Professor on the subjects Conflicts of Law, Antitrust law, and Constitutional law.
