Biography

Monika Obal is a counsel at Morrison & Foerster’s German office in Berlin and a member of our Corporate and Finance Departments. Her practice focuses on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, acquisition finance, venture capital investments and on general corporate matters. She has acted for clients in a number of industries in the Old and New Economy, with a particular focus on tech and software businesses. Monika studied law at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Before joining Morrison & Foerster she worked at the Freie Universität Berlin as a research assistant in the area of domestic and international company and insurance law. Her doctoral thesis deals with corporate governance issues of insurance companies.
