Laila Petrie

Biography

Laila Petrie is the CEO of 2050, an expert sustainability advisory and research organisation. She has more than 15 years of experience working in sustainability, working with the Fashion Charter, the Fashion Pact, UNEP, Textile Exchange, WWF, Google and several multinational fashion companies. Laila is currently Co-Chair of the raw materials working group for the UNFCCC Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action Working Group, and was previously Co-chair of the decarbonisation working group as well as the Charter Steering Committee. For a number of years, she was the WWF Global Textile Lead, and she has taken advisory or board roles for SAC, ECAP, Textile Exchange, Accelerating Circularity, the UN 10YFP programme, and the Alliance for Water Stewardship.
