Biography

Maria Flavia has headed the Real Estate practice at Machado Meyer Advogados in Brazil for 10 years. She is specialist in real estate law, providing legal assistance in the structuring of several real estate business, such as property acquisition operations, leasings, built to suit, and investments in the real estate sector of the country, as well as in the structuring of real estate development, regularization of properties, financing and guarantee in structured operations. She has extensive experience in registry matters. She’s been acknowledged by Chambers & Partners Brazil (2021), Chambers Latin America (2016-2021), The Legal 500: Real Estate (2021), Leaders League: Real Estate (2020-2022) and Latin Lawyer 250: Real Estate and Tourism (2021). She also serves as the Treasurer of the International Bar Association’s Real Estate Committee She completed a Bachelor of Laws at Mackenzie Presbyterian University and completed a postgraduation in Contracts Law at Centre of University Extension.
