Biography

Verena Jackson is a legal advisor and researcher and lecturer at the Center for Intelligence & Security Studies (CISS) at the University of the Federal Armed Forces. She is also the founder of Jackson Legal, a law firm specializing in IT law and consulting for the defense industry. After completing her legal studies in Germany and Spain with a focus on international and European law, she worked for international law firms and the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies (a joint institute of the German and U.S. militaries). She also has additional training in American Law from the 7th Army JMTC Staff Judge Advocate, Grafenwöhr, Germany. Her academic research and expertise for the German Ministry of Defense focus on legal aspects of the use of AI in military and emerging technologies, cyber operations, and space law.
