Fabienne Siredey Garnier

Biography

After studying literature, history and law, Fabienne Siredey-Garnier joined the French Ministry of Economy and Finance in 1987. In 1992, she was appointed mission head for economic and financial matters at the French Ministry of Justice, and in 1999 she was seconded to the European Commission's Legal Service as part of the competition regulator team, where she handled, inter alia, the GE/Honeywell and IMS Health cases. Appointed judge in 2003, she first performed the duties of deputy prosecutor and then presided over several criminal chambers in the Bobigny, Nanterre and Paris High Courts, specialising in serious crime, economic and financial criminal law and press law. Since April 2018, she is Vice-President of the Autorité de la Concurrence (France’s national competition regulator), where she served as Rapporteur from 2007 to 2009.
