Biography

Virginie Colaiuta is the Co-Chair of the International Construction Projects Committee of the International Bar Association. She is a partner of the London office of LMS Legal LLP. Virginie has more than 25 years of experience acting as counsel, advocate and arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings mainly deriving from construction and energy projects, also based on investment treaties. She is admitted to practise as a Solicitor in England & Wales, as Attorney at Law in New York (USA), and as Avocat à la Cour in Paris (France). She has also a law degree from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and practised for two years in Italy. Virginie teaches as a Visiting Fellow for the MSc of the Centre of Construction Law and Dispute Resolution of King’s College, London and a lecturer of the Master of Business Engineering (MBE) of the University of Stuttgart in Germany. She is also a member of the Board of the Italian Society of Construction Law since 2020.
