Biography

Thierry regularly advises clients on a wide range of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, intra-group and start-up financing, investment and shareholder agreements, service and distribution agreements, licensing agreements, and corporate governance issues. His areas of activity include intellectual property and information technology law (LL.M. in IP). Thierry is the co-founder of GotCourts Ltd, a SaaS platform for rakets sports, which was sold to Playtomic S.L. in 2021, and founding partner of "Alfred" (www.alfred.ch), an legal and strategic advisory boutique in Zurich. Earlier, he was Partner at a Swiss top-tier law firm (Kellerhals Carrard). With this focus, he works with many of Switzerland’s most promising technology and life sciences start-ups in all phases of their growth from university spin-offs and initial seed rounds to growth financing rounds and exit transactions. Thierry also has extensive experience in advising VCs, strategic investors (including CVCs) and business angels as part of their engagement with Swiss start-ups. He is a regular speaker in his field and holds workshops for founders throughout Switzerland.
