Lead negotiator for all risk matters for Stellantis (formerly GM) within Europe and elsewhere. Subject matter expert for insolvencies and restructuring within all major European jurisdictions. Having a manufacturing background, viewing and understanding the operational performance and business plans for suppliers is crucial to predict potential financial distress. An ability to negotiate at all levels (shop floor to board level) to create a full picture of distressed situations. I have led the negotiations on significant multinational insolvencies to protect Stellantis/GM's supply chain with some examples: €219m debt to equity swap of major industrial supplier in Slovenia PE buyout of €200m key supplier in Netherlands. Industrial buyout of €100m critical family owned supplier in Italy. Industrial buyout of Chinese shareholder of £100m critical supplier in UK Sale of €160m US/French industrial entity out of French Insolvency. As a German speaker I have also led most recent restructuring negotiations (July 2018) with a major casting supplier including negotiations with IG Metall. Chair Automotive Council Finance and Sustainability group and key member of SMMT group. I consider myself as a highly networked individual with contacts throughout industry, OEMs, Insolvency Practitioners across Europe, the "Big 4" and other key firms, PE and industry players. Architect of recent "Safe Harbour" process to protect UK suppliers following COVID crisis launched by SMMT 28 Sep 20.
