Biography

Paola works as senior counsel at International Finance Corporation (IFC), the world’s largest multilateral development organization focused on the private sector and part of the World Bank Group. Paola has been part of IFC’s legal department for almost 15 years in different capacities (secondee, counsel, senior counsel) and different offices, including IFC’s headquarters in Washington DC, Bogota, Colombia and Mexico. Paola's current regional focus is Latin America and the Caribbean, where she handles transaction investment and advisory transaction across sectors. Before joining IFC, Paola was a private practitioner and she worked with top-tier law firms in Colombia. She holds a Law Degree from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia and a Master of Law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC.
