Biography

Dr. Christoph Schork, LL.M. is a partner at the law firm HEUKING in Cologne, Germany, where he is also Head of the Practice Group ESG & Sustainability. Admitted to the Bar in 2001, Dr. Schork holds a Master of Laws from the University of Münster and earned his Doctor of Laws degree from the University Würzburg. With a robust background in corporate law and M&A, since 2019, Dr. Schork has dedicated his expertise to guiding and advising international companies through the complexities of ESG, CSR, and compliance in their supply chains. His work has been crucial in assisting his clients with the implementation of the new European sustainability regulations, including the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the Corporate Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Beyond his practice, Dr. Schork plays an active role in shaping the ESG legal landscape through his involvement in numerous committees, with a particular focus on the Human Rights Law Committee, and as a Conference Officer of our Environmental, Health, and Safety Law Committee. He is also a member of the Corporate and M&A Committee.
