Biography

Tatsiana Okun is Associate General Counsel, Litigation at the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). Her in-house practice includes regulatory, administrative and securities laws. Tatsiana was the managing counsel representing Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) in the matter of Lamoureux v IIROC, which dealt with allegations of data and privacy breach, the first class action case to go through all levels of court in Canada. Before joining the former IIROC in 2018, Tatsiana was in private practice, representing clients in securities and commercial litigation. Tatsiana holds a Juris Doctor degree and Master’s degree in business law.
