Biography
Hugo Frias Ossandon is a Chilean lawyer with a background spanning 12 years in the field of Environmental Law, with a particular focus on mining and energy sectors. Currently serving as Legal Counsel at Anglo American, he provides expert legal guidance on complex environmental and permitting matters. He earned a Master of Laws (LLM) in Mineral Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum, and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) at the University of Dundee in Scotland, UK, an achievement supported by Rio Tinto Scholarship. With a career marked by profound expertise and strategic insight, Hugo Frias Ossandon continues to make significant contributions to the field of Environmental Law.
