Biography

Partner at Ploum Rotterdam Law Firm since 1999 and founder of the notarial department. Studied in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Worked at NautaDutilh 1991-1995 (Rotterdam and Amsterdam) Loeff Claeys Verbeke (Rotterdam and New York) 1995-1999. Appointed as Civil-law notary in 2000. From 2004 to 2017 disciplinary court member at the court of Rotterdam and The Hague. From 2017 to September 2023, Jolande was a member of the Board of the Rotterdam Department of the Royal Notarial Association (KNB), the last three years of which she served as President (similar to the Dean of the Bar Association) for this District, and thus was also a delegate to the KNB's Council of Members and representative of the notarial profession in the Rotterdam-Rijnmond Crime Control Platform. Mother of 2 sons. Enjoys playing golf, cooking, sailing and yoga. Practice: Corporate and property law. Advice on corporate governance, partnerships, foundations, associations and cooperatives. Assistance in restructurings, takeovers (both shares and assets and liabilities) and joint ventures.
