Biography
Angela is head of the Caribbean region for Quantuma, an international advisory firm, and an expert in financial investigations, offshore asset tracing and recovery. Angela has acted as provisional liquidator, official liquidator and as controller in the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Antigua and Barbuda, and Samoa. Her experience in cross-border asset recovery enable him to quickly understand, manage, and drive forward complex cross-border matters, often involving multi-jurisdictional litigation and financial misconduct. Angela’s clients include corporations, hedge funds, family offices, governments and NGO’s.
Recent engagements:
- Appointed in the offshore asset recovery for 1Malaysia Development Berhad Sdn, and its sister company SRC International Berhad Sdn. Appointed as liquidator over 20 entities which were part of the fraudulent scheme which totalled over USD7.5 billion.
- Appointed by the High Court in Antigua and Barbuda, as a Receiver and Liquidator over Emergent Fidelity Technologies, an FTX subsidiary, owned by Sam Bankman-Fried, to protect assets of $700 million in a global cryptocurrency scandal.
- Appointed by the Grand Court of The Cayman Islands as Official Liquidator of Atom Holdings, a cryptocurrency exchange which involved the securing of subsidiaries and assets in Hong Kong, Seychelles, Malta and Singapore.
- Appointed by the Government of the Republic of Maldives to investigate the misappropriation of over $1billion and in the laundering of stolen funds by the former President and Vice President.
- Appointed Voluntary Liquidator of Cayman Islands and Provisional Liquidator of a British Virgin Islands Bernard Madoff feeder fund.
