Biography

Robert is the Commissioner of the newly formed Office of Significant Investments Review (“OSIR”) which sits within the Ministry of Trade and Industry (“MTI”) and was established to administer the Significant Investments Review Act (“SIRA”). Prior to this Robert was a Senior Director at the MTI involved in the development and passing of SIRA. His previous roles in government include being a Cluster Director at the Infocomm Media Development Authority where he oversaw the Nationwide E-invoicing Initiative, the Asia Tech x Singapore Summit, and various last mile e-payment and technology adoptions efforts. Robert was also a member of the Management Committee of OpenPEPPOL and co-chaired the National QR standard (“SGQR”). Robert is a lawyer by training and has experience in both practice as well as various in-house counsel roles.
