Biography

Rami D Fakhoury is the founder and Managing Director of Fakhoury Global Immigration USA, PC (FGI), of Troy, Michigan. FGI is one of the top independently owned business-based immigration law firms in the United States. FGI’s clients represent many of the world’s leading and innovative brands in the automotive, IT, engineering, architecture, and health-care sectors. Mr. Fakhoury’s publications comprise several immigration law books including The Immigration Practitioner’s Guide to U.S. Export Control Regulations (ILW.com: 2011), and The PERM Book, 3rd ed. (ILW.com, 2018). In addition, Mr. Fakhoury has also been an active and engaged civic leader as a member of the Board of Directors of the Detroit Regional Chamber (DRC), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Global Detroit, among other organizations. Mr. Fakhoury has received multiple recognitions including Fellow of the American Bar Association, a Leading Lawyer and Equity Member of the Alliance of Business Immigration Lawyers (ABIL), a Corporate Immigration Thought Leader by Who’s Who Legal, Super Lawyers, and as a Best Lawyer from Best Lawyers. FGI has been recognized as an AV-Preeminent ranked firm by Martindale-Hubbell and a Best Law Firm – Immigration from Best Lawyers. Mr. Fakhoury received his J.D., cum laude, from Michigan State University and is a graduate of Wayne State University with a BA in economics and a BS in finance. He is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
