Katie Daniels
Biography
Katie, Head of Compliance at CPP Investments, built and leads a dynamic, multi-disciplinary global compliance team across Toronto, London, São Paulo, and Hong Kong. She drives compliance strategy over enterprise, public markets, and anti-corruption, in support of CPP Investments globally held $650 billion CAD portfolio, including public and private equities, real estate, infrastructure, and fixed income. Katie is passionate about the intersection of compliance, data management, and responsible AI. In addition to her role at CPP, Katie serves on the Board of Ports America, a CPP Investments portfolio company and one of the largest U.S. terminal operators. Her prior experience includes senior leadership roles at the Ontario Securities Commission, where she was Deputy Director of Enforcement and Corporate Finance. She also practiced commercial litigation at Faskens. Katie has contributed her expertise as a member of the OSC’s Securities Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors for the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA). She has a BA from McMaster University (Political Science) and law degrees from the University of Toronto.
