James Bremen

Biography

James Bremen is the Global Chair of Quinn Emanuel's Construction and Engineering disputes practice. Prior to this he was a senior partner at Herbert Smith and Herbert Smith Freehills. For over 25 years James has represented parties in litigation and arbitration involving construction and engineering projects worldwide. He has published over 100 articles on construction law issues in both reviewed and industry publications, authored multiple book chapters and lectured on construction issues at universities, industry and legal conferences across Africa, Asia, Europe, Canada, USA, Australia, the Carribean and the Middle East. James has experience as counsel in over 40 jurisdictions and across all sectors and asset classes, and has been involved in some of the world's largest construction disputes. To date, the cumulative value of matters where James has acted as counsel exceeds US$100 billion.
