Biography

Jay Lefton practises in the area of corporate and securities law, including corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions and take-over bids, private equity, strategic alliances, technology transfer and licensing, with an emphasis on technology and life sciences companies. He is a former member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Securities Advisory Committee, which advises the Commission on matters including legislative and policy initiatives, and has been an Adjunct Faculty member of Osgoode Hall Law School and the University of Toronto‘s Rotman School of Business. He is an active member of many M&A related committees and working groups of the IBA and the American Bar Association. He co-leads the firm's Israeli initiative.
