Biography

Joachim Franz has over 25 years of professional experience in the automotive industry. He began his career as a Management Consultant at Accenture, where he worked globally with automotive manufacturers and suppliers across the entire automotive value chain in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, where he was also responsible for the development of Accenture's automotive consulting practice, based in Shanghai. In 2012, Joachim joined Volkswagen, where he held several senior leadership roles, primarily focusing on sales, marketing, and mobility-related topics. Most recently, he was globally responsible for Digital Business and Mobility Services within the Volkswagen Brand. Since January 2022, Joachim has been responsible for Microsoft's global business with German-based automotive manufacturers and suppliers. Joachim is known for his strategic vision and commitment to excellence, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation. He has a proven track record of transforming sales organizations and driving hyper-growth in Europe and Asia.
