Kedar Mehta
Biography
Kedar Mehta represents private credit, real estate and private equity fund sponsors and asset managers in connection with the structuring and fundraising of funds, managed accounts and other investment entities as well as their ongoing operational needs. Kedar has advised and negotiated billions of dollars in capital commitments for his clients from the full range of investors, including sovereign wealth funds, private and public pensions, insurance companies, family offices and fund of funds. Over the course of his career, Kedar has worked closely with institutional sponsors and asset managers by providing advice and counsel on their most complex transactions as well as providing day-to-day guidance to commercially and efficiently find solutions. Kedar also works closely with institutional sponsors and asset managers on placement and distribution arrangements, co-investment transactions, continuation vehicles and secondary transactions and other bespoke arrangements. Through his broad experience and work, Kedar has an understanding of the critical aspects of each party in connection with a funds transaction, with a keen focus on developing creative solutions to meet the needs of his clients in an effective and efficient manner. Kedar received his JD from Emory University in 2015 where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, and his BA (Political Science) and BS (Finance), summa cum laude, from Rutgers University in 2012. He is admitted to the bar in New York.
