Sam Cooper Rivera

Biography

Sam Cooper Rivera is the Deputy General Counsel, Head of Capital Formation at TPG, where she is responsible for legal matters related to TPG’s fundraising efforts as well as the ongoing operations of TPG’s private funds across TPG’s various asset classes. Prior to joining TPG, Sam worked at D. E. Shaw as an investment products attorney. Sam began her career in the Private Funds group of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York, where she focused on the organization and operation of private funds for large sponsors, including TPG.
