Biography

Zarir is one of the founders of ZBA. ZBA is a boutique firm specializing in marine, offshore energy, commodities, insurance and asset recovery work for lenders. It has a broad commercial practice involving both contentious and non-contentious matters. Zarir has been a commercial lawyer and advocate for over 20 years. Zarir has extensive experience of international arbitration and has advised and conducted arbitrations in the shipping, insurance & reinsurance, trade and commodities, mining, multilateral lending and investment, construction, engineering and energy sectors. Notable amongst these was one of the first Burmese arbitrations conducted in Singapore arising out of a shareholder agreement relating to a brewery in Myanmar.
