Biography

Gilberto Giusti has been an arbitration and litigation partner of the firm Pinheiro Neto for 30 years and has acted in relevant issues in several high-profile cases, representing the interests of major national and foreign companies in domestic and international arbitrations in complex civil, commercial, corporate, securities and construction disputes, as well as other regulated sectors (energy, telecommunication, oil and gas). Having worked as a visiting attorney at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York City and holding an LLM degree from the University of California – Berkeley, Mr Giusti is recognized for his knowledge of foreign law and practice, thus facilitating his intense relationship with non-Brazilian clients and lawyers, both in-house and members of law firms around the globe. He is currently a well-known ADR lawyer focusing in both domestic and international arbitration. Mr Giusti has been one of the few Brazilians ever to be a Board member of three of the most prestigious arbitration institutions worldwide: the American Arbitration Association - AAA, the London Court of International Arbitration – LCIA, and the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution – CPR.
