Biography

David Sorkin has been the General Counsel of KKR since 2007. He is a Member of the Firm and serves on its Risk and Operating Committee. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Sorkin was a partner in the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP for 14 years, where he served as one of KKR's principal outside counsel. Mr. Sorkin is a graduate of Williams College and Harvard Law School. From 1984 to 1985, he clerked for the Hon. Charles M. Merrill of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco. He is a frequent speaker at seminars dealing with private equity. Mr. Sorkin is also a member of the Board of Directors of New Alternatives for Children, Inc.
