Biography

Gabriella Muscolo was appointed as Commissioner at the Italian Competition Authority in 2014. From 2003 to 2012, she sat as a judge at the Specialist Section for IP and Competition Law at the District Court of Rome, then since 2012 at the Court for Undertakings in Rome. From 2009 to 2014, she was a member of the Enlarged Board of Appeal of the European Patent Office. She is a usual lecturer of Company Law at Italian and foreign Universities. She publishes in Italian and in English in the fields of IP and Competition Law, i.a., she co-edited “Intellectual Property and Competition Law: a European perspective”, and “The Pharmaceutical Sector Between Patent Law And Competition Law. An International Perspective” both for Kluwer International.
