Biography

Vincent Pickering Former Associate General Counsel, Spotify Vincent Pickering is a general counsel with over 20 years of experience. He has worked in all aspects of global business and legal environments. Until very recently, he has been working as Associate General Counsel and Data Protection Officer at Spotify where he was responsible for the Products and Services Legal Group, including topics such as R&D, advertising, marketing, privacy and European regulatory and government affairs and preparing the company for its initial stock market listing. Until 2015, he was Chief Legal Officer and Secretary for WABCO Inc., a publicly traded (NYSE) Fortune 600 company. In this role, he was responsible for all legal issues, including commercial, anti-trust, corporate, IP, governance, compliance, regulatory, capital markets, M&A and tax issues. Before that, Vincent spent 8 years at Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, USA, as Associate General Counsel for the company’s Worldwide Licensing and Pricing Division. Vincent has also gained diverse legal experiences while working with leading international law firms based in Brussels and London. He began his career at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Competition.
