Biography

Catherine Miao is a partner of JunHe LLP and has been practicing law for over 20 years. She was admitted in both mainland China and HK jurisdictions. She has accumulated extensive experience in the fields of banking finance, mezzanine finance, distressed assets, alternative investment, and real estate. In NPL and alternative investment area, she has handled many cases which were completely novel and unprecedented nation-wide. She has acted as legal advisor for major state-owned asset management corporations and large international investment banks, and provided them with innovative legal solutions for projects including the acquisition and disposal of NPL portfolios, the establishment of Sino-Foreign contractual joint ventures, and the debt restructuring, where the accumulated book value of assets involved nearly amounts to one hundred billion RMB.
