Hergen Haas

Biography

Hergen Haas is General Counsel of the Heraeus Group, a family-owned company founded in 1851 and today the world leader in chemicals and metals, energy and environment, communications and electronics, healthcare, mobility and industrial applications. Mr. Haas has over 18 years of experience in leading law firms and corporations. He most recently worked as a partner and Deputy Head of the German office of a renowned international law firm in Frankfurt. Previously, he was co-founder of the law firm Smeets Haas Wolff. Mr. Haas mainly advised on financing, M & A and restructuring.
