Biography

Thomas Paul is a partner in the Frankfurt office of Hengeler Mueller. He studied in Marburg and Lausanne (Switzerland). He holds a doctorate degree (Dr jur) from the University of Marburg and an LLM from Tulane Law School, New Orleans. He was admitted to the Bar in 1990 and has since practised law in Hengeler Mueller’s Frankfurt office, apart from a four-year period at another major law firm. Dr Paul specialises in banking and capital markets, financial institutions, compliance, banking and finance, investment fund law, asset management as well as regulatory M&A transactions, outsourcing and restructurings (including joint ventures) in the financial sector.
