Biography

Ivo Leenders is a partner in Hertoghs advocaten, a Dutch boutique law firm specialised in white-collar crime, tax fraud and tax litigation. Ivo studied tax law at Maastricht University and civil and criminal procedural law at Radboud University in Nijmegen. During his study in Maastricht he got to know Hertoghs advocaten via a master class. Then, his interest was aroused for this law firm that combines all the areas which he had studied. Before starting his career at Hertoghs advocaten, Ivo wanted to gain experience as a tax advisor. In the year 2000 he started as a tax advisor at KPMG Meijbourg & Co. Part of his time at KPMG Meijburg & Co Ivo worked at the Tax Knowledge Institute and was a member of the section procedural tax law. In 2002 Ivo joined Hertoghs advocaten and has been admitted to the Dutch Bar since 2003. In 2012 he became a partner in Hertoghs advocaten.
