Biography
Corey is a global innovation, intellectual property (IP) and technology law and policy thought leader, strategist, attorney, counselor and practitioner. His current role as VP, Global Head IP Affairs for Swiss multinational healthcare company Novartis, where he leads a cross-divisional team responsible for developing the Company's core positions and implementing global advocacy strategies in legal and policy areas that lie at the intersection of IP, innovation, access and trade. A frequent speaker on the many complex facets of the global innovation ecosystem, he is thrilled to be at the leading edge of the conversation around technological convergence and the impact and promise of gene therapy, gene editing, artificial intelligence (AI), digital medicine, and other technologies that are transforming medicine. Member of the Board of Directors of California Lawyers for the Arts, and a founder and member of the Steering Committee of the international Inventors Assistance Program (IAP), a joint initiative of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Economic Forum which provides pro bono legal services to under-resourced inventors in developing countries.
