Biography

Antonella Centra was appointed EVP General Counsel, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability for Gucci in January 2016. Prior to that she had been Gucci Global General Counsel since July 2015. In her new position she also heads the Corporate Social Responsibility Department and oversees Institutional Relations. She is a member of the Guccio Gucci Board of Directors and sits on the Executive Committee. Previously, Antonella was General Counsel for Bottega Veneta and served as the contact for institutional relations in the Kering Group Luxury Division in Italy. After earning a law degree from the Università La Sapienza in Rome and a master’s in European law at the College of Europe in Bruges, Antonella worked for several high-profile law firms in Italy and abroad and established a foundation of solid experience in the legal departments of some of the world’s best-known companies, including IBM and Prada. From 2003 to 2008 she was Director of Legal Affairs for Coca-Cola Italia and sat on its Board of Directors, and from 2008 to 2013 she was Deputy Legal Director for Wind Telecomunicazioni, a position that saw her overseeing large-scale corporate transactions and M&A on behalf of the group. She is the reference point for legal issues throughout the company. Her duties include ensuring that Gucci business complies with legal norms, and she will facilitate and contribute to streamlining and accelerating implementation of Gucci Strategy. Antonella will also monitor and oversee issues related to IP and measures to fight counterfeiting, corporate governance and compliance, consultancy for various areas of business, issues regarding Industrial and Operations and management of contracts and disputes. She also ensures that any business involving legal and corporate affairs is coordinated at a global level. Finally, as EVP Sustainability, Antonella oversees the establishment and implementation of Gucci’s sustainability strategy.
