Biography

Marion graduated from London University with a B.Sc. in Agriculture in the early 90s and worked for UK retailer Tesco as a product specialist in fresh produce and as a fruit buyer subsequently becoming heavily involved with finding and developing new sources of produce across the globe and within home markets. In 2016, Marion set up Safe Space Collaboration LLP with her co-founder, Sheila Bates. The aim of Safe Space is to support businesses and trading partners in collaborating and speaking up about modern slavery and human rights risks or abuses in their supply chains. Through effective dialogue, SSC seeks to bring transparency to customers and suppliers, build trust and deliver strong action plans which are meaningful, appropriate and with timescales that allow for good outcomes and long term positive impacts.
