Faisal Mahmood Ghani

Biography

Mr. Mahmood Abdul Ghani, Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan, has authored over fifty articles and papers, on the subject which has also been published in various newspapers, including on Industrial Relations Ordinance, 2002 and Saudi Labor Laws and others Islamic Countries Labour Laws. Mr. Mahmood Abdul Ghani was also a part-time lecturer at Hamdard Law School of Hamdard University, Karachi. Mr. Mahmood Abdul Ghani is also author of Five Books namely Labour and Industrial Jurisprudence, Comparative Labour Laws in Muslim Countries, 'Dynamics of Industrial Relations and Trade Unions in Pakistan', ‘Industrial Relations in Pakistan at a Crossroads’ and Labour and Industrial Jurisprudence (2nd Edition). We have also extended advice on labour legislations in Pakistan to the Government of Pakistan as well as the World Bank. We are also members of International Labour and Employment Relations Association, Geneva and International Bar Association, London. Faisal Mahmood Ghani, Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan, was also invited to the ILO Geneva’s body namely International Labour and Employment Relations Association, Geneva to present a paper namely “Industrial Relations Ordinance 2002- Challenges of Globalization” at the ILERA (an ILO body) 7th European Congress, held in Lisbon, Portugal. Likewise a paper on “CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION PROCEDURE PROSPECTS AND PROBLEMS” in labour disputes was also presented in SAARCLAW Conference 2016 held in Katmandu, Nepal. Paper “Constructing Harmonious Labour Relations: Thoughts & Approaches” was presented in 9th Asian Regional Congress of the International Labour and Employment Relations Association (ILERA), held at Beijing, China in November 2016 Another paper “Labour Judicial Activism” was presented in SAARCLAW Conference 2017 held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He was also invited to present paper “CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION Roles and Processes at ILERA World Congress Seoul, South Korea in July, 2018.
