Biography

Stephen is global co-leader of the Investment Funds practice. Previously, he held several senior legal and business positions at Man Group plc, the leading alternative investment manager, including Group General Counsel. Throughout this time, he was a member of the principal Executive Committee, the principal body responsible for the strategy and management of the firm. In addition he had responsibility for product structuring, financing and development and regulatory and compliance affairs. He also ran product management and operations. Prior to Man, he was co-head of the Private Funds group at a Magic Circle law firm, focusing principally on funds supporting illiquid strategies. He led some of Europe’s largest private equity fundraisings.
