Daniel Reich
Biography
Daniel Reich is a partner in Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration practice, working out of the Firm’s New York office. He advises States, State-owned entities, and corporations in international arbitration and public international law matters, with a particular focus on life sciences, technology, oil & gas, investment protection, and complex commercial disputes. He has also represented State-owned entities, corporate clients and individuals in litigation before United States federal and state courts, as well as in domestic and cross-border investigations by United States governmental authorities. His recent experience in the life sciences sector includes the representation of a European life sciences company as Respondent in an arbitration brought by another European life sciences company seeking indemnification under a Share Purchase Agreement. He has also recently represented a North American life sciences company as Respondent in an ICC arbitration initiated by European life sciences companies relating to the parties’ rights of use with respect to proprietary biotechnology. Daniel holds a B.A. from Yale College and a J.D. from Yale Law School. He is qualified to practice in New York.
