This session dives into the latest environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) law and issues across jurisdictions. The panel will examine the status of ESG laws in Canada, Europe and the US and provide guidance on key cross-jurisdictional trends from ESG litigation to regulatory and M&A issues. The panel will close with remarks around the role of the lawyer in the context of an ESG practice.

The panel will host an interactive discussion on hot topics relating to young women lawyers in the profession, developing leadership skills and how senior lawyers can provide support in an increasingly complex and fast paced legal environment.

Abundant research shows that heterogeneity in groups boosts the quality of decision-making. But simply adding a member of an underrepresented group to improve diversity is not the answer.
