Description
What goes around, comes around: someone must pay the piper...and hopefully the lawyers! Let’s face the music and litigate!
As these old adages reflect, bad actions breed bad consequences. Nothing typifies these idioms more than the corporate litigation that has blossomed in the wake of many a corporate scandal. The mere mention of the word scandal sends world press, company PR/reputational departments and litigators alike into action (even by Zoom and Skype nowadays). And who can blame them when each decade has been marked by what appears to be an even bigger, even ‘badder’ corporate collapse? Now, as we attempt to navigate our way through the new Covid-reality, recent headline-grabbing events have been exacerbated by the pitfalls of the pandemic. Wirecard’s descent and Archegos’ ruin seem to trip off the tongue with ease and rapidity, whilst generating sales for the Financial Times.
Join this panel of experts for a lively discussion on the fallout from corporate collapses known, unknown and soon arising.
