Biography

Partner, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP Peter is a partner in Morgan Lewis’ securities enforcement and litigation practice area. Peter represents broker-dealers, financial services firms, public companies, and individuals in n connection with investigations, examinations, and enforcement proceedings brought by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), or state regulators and in civil litigation matters and arbitration proceedings relating to securities issues. Peter has recently been extensively involved in ESG-related SEC matters. He also conducts internal investigations on behalf of management or independent directors or trustees. He also counsels clients on a wide variety of regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance issues. Peter has been named as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in securities litigation (2017-2023), and was previously named a securities litigation Rising Star (2011-2015). In 2001-2002, he served as law clerk to the Hon. Charles D. Gonthier at the Supreme Court of Canada. Following that, he was a lecturer at McGill’s University's Faculty of Law. Peter has a law degree from the University of Oxford (Wadham College, 1999) and common law (LL.B) and civil law (B.C.L) degrees from McGill Law (2001).
