Rachel Manno
Biography
Rachel (she, her) practises in the Debt Products practice group of Wildeboer Dellelce LLP, a boutique corporate finance firm. Rachel practised as a secured lending lawyer at a large, national law firm before joining the law group of RBC Capital Markets, supporting the derivatives solutions group. She left RBC for a fintech, which lends to small businesses, as their general counsel and VP Operations (risk, credit adjudication, loan admin) and ultimately became their Chief Operations Officer. After the company’s first public offering, Rachel returned to private practice. She has represented lenders and borrowers on all manner of debt financings - from cash flow and asset-based loans, to securitizations and public-private infrastructure projects, and everything in between. Rachel prides herself on offering the kind of pragmatic advice she relied on at the bank and as a business operator. She approaches her work with equal parts common sense and humour. She prizes high quality work and humility. Rachel is also a long-time member and supporter of Versafi (Women in Capital Markets) and the firm’s many student and training initiatives. Rachel holds a B.A. (Hons.) in English Literature from Queen’s University, an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Toronto and a J.D. from University of Windsor Faculty of Law. Rachel was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2012.
